Finding Good Web Sites

This page includes some of the most popular search engines for finding websites.  When searching, you can use the "advanced" features to get more specific and limit what you find.
 
Be sure to ask these questions before using a website:
  • Who wrote it? Does anyone check the accuracy of the information?
  • What is the site about and what information does it include?  Are facts attributed to their original source?
  • When was the site created or updated?
  • Where does the web document exist?  On a corporate, government, educational or other website?
  • Why was the web document created?  To inform, persuade, or mislead?
