The Library is operating remotely during the COVID-19 emergency, and will be closed during Spring Quarter. We will be open on a limited basis starting April 7-10 to check out course-specific materials only. Watch this space for details. SVC Student Services has sent out a survey to students asking if they would like a laptop for Spring Quarter. The library is working to arrange for checkouts of student laptops and will provide more information soon.
To return materials that you have checked out, the Mount Vernon Campus Library has a book drop available behind the library, along the sidewalk. For laptops and other equipment, you may call security on the MV campus at 360-416-7777 to coordinate a drop off.
Students can return library materials to the Whidbey Island Campus Library by using the drop box located in the walkway between Hayes Hall and Oak Hall. The lower level parking lot provides easy access to drop off library material. If you want to return laptops or other equipment please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 360-679-5221 and leave a message and arrangements will be made.
Please note there may be a delay between the time you return it and the time it is checked in from your account because of remote operations.
Our library databases will still offer access to articles, streaming videos, and e-books. Log into them from home using your full SVC email address and password.
During these hours starting April 7 (Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 8 pm and Friday, 8 am - 5 pm), an SVC librarian will be available via chat to answer your questions. Use the chat box on the right to enter your email address and ask a question. After hours, this chat service is staffed 24/7 by librarians at other libraries in our international cooperative.
You may leave a message at these numbers. They will be checked several times a day:
