This is a guide for setting up a journal alert in ProQuest Direct. A journal alert will send you an email notification each time a new issue of the selected journal is added to ProQuest Direct.

Locate the desired publication in ProQuest Direct using Publication search and click on the title for publication details.

Click on Set up Alert from the publication details page.

Select to send an alert when either new Citation/Abstract or Full Text content is available, or only when
new Full Text content is available.

Select when to stop sending the alerts, ranging from 2 weeks up to one year. You will be sent a reminder prior to the expiration date and be able to renew the alert.

Enter the Email address to which you'd like to send the alerts. You cannot send an alert to multiple addresses.

The Subject  and Message field contents are optional.

Click Save to finalize the alert.

You will see a confirmation page, summarizing your information. If the information is correct, click Done, or click Delete this Alert to delete the alert.

To view an article sent to you in an alert, you must be able to log in to ProQuest. If you access ProQuest at school or work, and request to have the alerts sent to your home email account, you will be able to view the results list. You will not be able to view an article unless you are able to log in to ProQuest remotely.
