SVC Areas of Study and Sample Careers

SVC's Areas of Study are roadmaps or pathways through specific programs that are built to meet your unique goals. There are currently nine Areas of Study at SVC, each of which may lead to different exciting careers for you:

Basic Education for Adults

This pathway is designed for:

  • Adults returning to school after a break of several years, or those who are seeking to improve academic skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening, math, computer use, and academic skills before starting college degree or certificate programs.
  • Justice-involved students who are transitioning out of incarceration.
  • New English language learners or those who are looking to improve their English language skills.
