Advice for future researchers:
1. I found it helpful in the beginning stages of the research process to write down many different keywords to plug into database's. This will help later on in your research to look back on and try new words that you haven't already.
2. I would suggest to explore Statista.com. This website gave me useful data that included graphs and other visual aids. I did cite Statista a multitude of times throughout my research writing.
3. In the beginning, I took my sources from my notetaker assignments and started a work cited page. This is important to keep all information organized so you don't loose any information.
4. Throughout writing this research work, I did find some pitfalls along the way. However, one thing I made sure to do was to ask for help from the Professor, refer to course materials/ resources, and or confer with other classmates.
Reflection on research experience:
My research experience went really well! Personally, it was a large amount of learning information that I didn't know prior to this class. The process also was a lot of writing every week which made a feel overwhelmed. I felt like I got hung up on finding scholarly sources in the beginning of writing my paper. Throughout the process I was training myself to find credible sources and discovered some that are no longer required. The best part of writing this research essay was that I was able to choose my own topic to write and learn more about. My topic of 'Online Dating Apps', was something that I found intriguing and also fun to learn more about throughout my research. While I met my boyfriend on Bumble and we've been together for almost one year now in June. I can truly understand and relate to how online dating apps are popular in today's world but they can also come with some areas of concern.
