Your instructor has already given you an assignment (Science in the news project: your three possible topics) to help you get started on a topic.

As a review, it is always a good idea to do some "pre-research" to see if there is information on the topic. If there is too much information, you may need to narrow your topic. If there is too little, you may need to broaden your topic. You may also discover you might take a different direction with your topic or change it altogether.
