- Though this is a scholarly source, I didn't find it too helpful overall. It was a good example of what to do during a gap year, but I found it to be too specific that I couldn't synthesize it with much else other than gaining experience. It's still worth a read to see what a specific way to spend a medical gap year could be.

- This was also a scholarly source, but I found it didn't relate as much to my topic as I would've liked it to. I didn't want to stretch my topic out too much, but I was able to learn more about how students perceive their education and why that might sway them towards other choices. I believe some of my other sources did that better.

- This source was a book review, so though it's not scholarly I still was able to find some good observations on how a gap year changes the way that students think. It focuses on students volunteering during their gap, and how that changes their development for the better.
