Introduction to the Topic

Woman and child For my topic, I choose to look into how non-English speaking women experience birth. The reason why I chose this topic was that I have a personal connection to non-English speaking mothers, and I wanted to find out some things so I could help them out and be more knowledgeable about it all. Some things in specific that I wanted to look into was solutions for better understanding between the doctors and the mothers giving birth. When I was choosing my topic I was thinking of many different directions I looked at medical, I looked at teachers, and I looked at the effects of social media on people. I ended up choosing something in the medical field, I decided on labor and delivery, and the reason why I chose to go into that topic was because I was most interested in a lot of things about how different things happen there.
